Hunting of Southeastern Ibex in Spain is often the highlight of a hunting adventure, gaining additional experience and testing one’s skills in long-range shooting, as well as the physical performance itself.
Hunting in the mountains means being well-prepared for climbing among limestone formations in rocky terrain, overcoming several dozen meters of elevation, and maintaining hunting concentration for shots of over 300 meters at the majestic ibex!
Of course, the difficulty of the hunt can be adjusted from the toughest challenges to easier hunting trips, which do not diminish their quality but select locations where less physical strength and endurance are required.
The Southeastern Ibex is one of the largest representatives of the subspecies Capra pyrenaica hispanica.
The hunting trip is usually arranged for 3 hunting days, but typically it is completed in 2 hunting days. The third day serves as a backup, but the success rate in recent years has been 99.99%.
However, the hunting trip can last up to 5 days and can be combined with other forms of ibex (Beceite, Ronda, or Gredos).
Hunting begins in the morning at 7:30 with the sunrise and continues throughout the day until sunset around 18:00.
During the stay, it is possible to experience excursions in local wineries or taste Spanish cuisine.
Hunters are taken care of from arrival to departure, including handling of documents.
Accommodation is provided in local towns or villages. If desired, it can also be arranged in solitude. It all depends on the area where the hunting will take place, as guides operate over 15,000 hectares.
