Region Andalusia
Andalusia is home to the Southeastern Ibex in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Steep cliffs, steep slopes, and distant views across massive valleys.
This is how the Sierra Nevada mountains can be characterized, where hunters from all over the world come to test their physical fitness and shooting skills at long distances of over 300 meters. Here, such a distance is considered normal, and it is not uncommon for hunters to shoot at even greater distances.
However, Andalusia does not only offer the towering Sierra Nevada. Upon landing at the airports in Granada or Málaga, local guides take care of every hunter, picking them up from the airport, accommodating them in suitable lodging, and taking care of them with utmost care throughout the trip.
Traditional Spanish dishes, tourist attractions, and accommodation in a smaller town or in the midst of nature upon request. All of this can be arranged, including visits to wine cellars with tastings of Spanish wines.
In Andalusia, the Ronda Ibex can also be found, which inhabits the opposite side in the provinces of Málaga and Cádiz in the westernmost part of the Andalusian mountains.
In contrast, the Southeastern Ibex inhabits the Sierra Nevada mountains in the provinces of Granada, Almeria, and Jaén.
Region Castilla-La Mancha
Plains surrounded by high massifs. This is how the hunting area of Castilla-La Mancha can be characterized at an average altitude of 600 m above sea level.
It is home to the Gredos Ibex, which inhabits areas such as the Montes de Toledo.
Region Aragon
The region of Aragon is home to the largest representative of ibex on the Iberian Peninsula – the Beceite Ibex, which lives in the Sierra de Beceite (province of Teruel). The Sierra de Beceite mountains do not reach the heights of the Sierra Nevada (only around 1,200 m above sea level), but they are indeed rugged, full of valleys, rocky slopes, and limestone towers often covered with pine forests. The hunt is considered moderately difficult.
Valencian Community
The Valencian Community is located in the east of Spain and is home to the Beceite Ibex and Barbary sheep (paovce hřivnatá). Hunting takes place again in terrain from 300 to 1,200 m above sea level among rock formations.
Spain is a mountainous, rugged country that offers arid rocky massifs and plateaus, while also being able to provide fertile lowlands. It is up to each hunter which path they choose to fulfill their hunting wishes.
