Pheasant hunting for a fee is carried out in groups of 6 to 20 shooters. This is a private hunt for one group. Each shooter can have an assistant assigned to count the pheasants caught if desired.
The hunting schedule begins with a meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the hunting lodge. Document check and breakfast in progress.
After breakfast, the ceremonial start of the hunt is the traditional start, where the hunters are given instructions for the course of the whole day, good luck is wished and, of course, the exclamation “Good luck hunting”.
The hunt is on.
This is followed by the delivery of the hunters to the individual sites of the first treatment. Hounds go through game fields, thorns and bushes. These coverings are unclimbed by hunters who have been placed here by the competitive hunt. Hunters wait as the pheasants take off to catch them. About half of the course is followed by refreshments in the middle of the hunt in the hunting lodge.
After all the planned treatments are over, the hunters are taken back to the hunting lodge, where a ceremonial display of caught pheasants or guinea fowls is already prepared.
The hunt is concluded with the honking of festive fanfares by hunting horns. After the end of the hunt, a late lunch follows in the hunting lodge, where the hunters can share their experiences and success from today’s pheasant hunt together.
