The fee-based duck hunt begins with hunters and staff meeting at a predetermined location at 8:00 a.m. This is followed by a document check and administrative matters (registration, organizational information, etc.). Hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks are served throughout.
At 8:30 a.m., the opening ceremony takes place in the form of a traditional start, wishing “good luck hunting” in the presence of skilled trumpeters on the forest borlice. During the opening, you will be introduced to the organization of the hunt and the entire process. The hunt leader will assign you your personal guide who will accompany you throughout the hunt.
2-3 treatments await you, which officially start from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., when it is lunch time in a nearby restaurant, which is an ideal opportunity to share the experience together already during the hunt.
After lunch, there are 2 – 3 more treatments, which usually end around 16:30 with a ceremonial parade and the end of the hunt with a tribute to the caught game.
These ponds can be fished in several ways and the hunt is arranged in such a way that every hunter finds his own way. The first method of hunting is hunting from the shore in a cover made of reeds or other protection.
On another lech, it is possible to fish directly from the boat anywhere on the surface of the pond and thus find a suitable hunting position. Of course, pontoons on the water surface are prepared for hunters suffering from seasickness who do not like rocking boats. Thanks to this, ducks flying overhead can be hunted in the middle of the pond.
If even that doesn’t suit some hunters, they can fish on reinforced benches along the shallows of the pond and don’t have to worry about the swaying surface under their feet.
Anyway, it doesn’t matter if you use all four ways of hunting or just one, you will definitely have enough opportunities for good hunting throughout the day.
It is hunted with a shotgun with steel shots (according to the new regulation) of size 3.5 – 4.0 mm. It is recommended to carry 200 – 300 cartridges per day. Of course, by agreement, you can rent a weapon and buy cartridges.
Accommodation is available in the nearby guesthouse “Dvůr Krutěnice”, which is newly renovated and offers up to 18 individually furnished rooms. Other types of accommodation can be prepared on request.

The hunt comes under the outfitter´s business conditions and his/her instructions. In case these conditions and the outfitter´s instructions are broken, the hunt may be discontinued prematurely with no refund or with penalties to be reimbursed (illegal hunting to which the hunter is not entitled at all etc.) the hunt is subject to the Czech legislation.
