Hunting ground Tetín-Jarov

The Tetín-Jarov hunting ground is located next to Beroun and directly overlaps with the Koněprusy Caves

The Tetín-Jarov hunting ground is part of the hilly and picturesque landscape of the Beroun region, where the Berounka River meanders beneath the impenetrable slopes of dense forests. From almost every corner of the hunting ground, one can observe the distant peaks of the Brdy and Křivoklát forests.

The hunting ground is 80% agricultural land, with the remainder consisting of small woods, overgrown impenetrable slopes with shrubs, and part of the hunting ground is bordered by the Berounka River. The Berounka River is home to a large population of cormorans and nutria.

The hunting ground is rich in wild boar and roe deer. Interestingly, there is a high number of badger setts and a large population of badgers.

About the chase

Area: 1202
Area: Hills
Species: Mixed (forest/field)

The Tetín-Jarov hunting ground is 80% agricultural land, with the remainder consisting of scattered woodlands and numerous overgrown hedgerows where big game thrives.

The agricultural plots are divided into various strips of crops, which together create a healthy landscape mosaic. This mosaic also creates suitable conditions for hunting wild boar throughout the year, as it forces the game to move from smaller areas to others, allowing for effective hunting.

On the eastern side, the hunting ground is bordered by the Berounka River, beyond which a stone quarry opens up.

Throughout the hunting ground, badger sets are scattered due to the abundance of rocks and impenetrable woodlands, where badgers thrive in the terrain.

Accommodation is available in nearby Beroun, which has countless hotels and guesthouses. Local guesthouses outside the city are also an option.
