About the chase

Area: 1500
Area: Foothill of Nízký Jeseník
Species: Forest

The Janov hunting ground is covered with deep forests, which are mainly made up of deciduous trees with a sufficient presence of beech trees, which guarantees a high natural fertility of the hunting ground.

Some of the forests were cleared a few years ago and now there are hundreds of hectares of thickets that provide shelter for wild boars and large game. However, there is plenty of mature beech forests in the surrounding countryside.

The average altitude of the ridges is around 700 m above sea level. The highest point is the meadows called Kraví hora (Cow Mountain) at 725 m above sea level, where deer and roe deer roam.

Nature is interwoven with many mountain streams that flow into valleys that divide the entire location into beautiful undulating ridges of the Jeseníky Mountains.
