The Obergur hunting area is located in the south of Austria, close to the Italian border. The mighty Alps rise from the valley as far as the eye can see. And it is in this terrain that the local game is hunted. Hunters usually hunt at 200 – 400 meters, depending on the type of game.

To climb from the valley to the mountains, you need to be in good physical condition, as the elevation gain is usually in the hundreds of meters.

Spring grouse hunting usually takes place in May, when the snow cover in the valleys on the southern slopes is slowly disappearing, but snow is still present everywhere else. Autumn chamois hunting usually takes place on snow again.

In addition to hunting, you can also visit the famous mountain resort of Sölden and ski on beautiful slopes, or take advantage of the wellness facilities in nearby guesthouses.
