Hunting ground Koloděje

Hunting ground Koloděje is located exactly at the confluence of our longest river, the Vltava, and the Lužnice river near Týn nad Vltavou in the Czech Republic

Hunting ground Koloděje is miscellaneous with a high frequency of limits and draws. However, there are also larger forests. The average altitude in hunting is around 450 m.a.s.l.

Hunting ground Koloděje is relatively hilly, which opens up views of the surrounding landscape in many places. Maize is widely grown in the hunting area, which suits not only roe deer, but also black. In recent years, the European fallow deer population has also been expanding here.

In some localities, wild populations of common pheasants still hold. A large population of wild ducks resides on the watercourses located in the Koloděj hunting area.

In hunting, black game drives are also organized, which are consistently successful, and more than 10 wild boars are usually caught in one drive.

About the chase

Area: 1085
Area: Highlands
Species: Miscellaneous (Fields/ forests)

Hunting ground Koloděje is an area rich in watercourses – two large rivers and countless smaller streams that flow into them. Thanks to such a high amount of life-giving water in the landscape, there is a colorful life in it. This benefits not only cloven-hoofed animals, but also small game.

The southern border of the hunting area is formed by the river Vltava flowing from Týn nad Vltavou, into which the river Lužnice flows as a right tributary. It forms part of the south-western border and crosses it from about halfway up the hunting grounds.

There is a large forest along the border formed by the river Lužnice. Another large forest unit is in the northern part of the hunting area, where this forest forms the border. However, it is part of a large forest complex encroaching on other hunting grounds.
