The Kakov hunting ground is located in the Pilsen region and is one of the few hunts that offers turkey hunting in the wild. The Kakov hunting ground is adjacent to the nature park Kákov- Plánický hreben. Undoubtedly, the interesting feature of this locality is that the lynx regularly migrates here.
Most of the Kakov hunting grounds are covered with forest cover typical of the Planická Highlands. These are mainly old beech trees with scattered fir and linden.
The forest complex, which occupies almost 90% of the hunting area, offers a hilly terrain with many valleys and countless hills with views of the surroundings. The highest point of hunting is the hill “V Kopaninách” with 674 m.a.s.l. and the hill “Na Balkáně” with 649 m.a.s.l.
The Kakov hunt forms a so-called migration trail between Šumava, Brdy and the Blaten Mountains. Hunting is rich in species of ungulates. It is possible to hunt European deer, Sika deer, mouflon, fallow deer, roe deer and wild boar hunting, individually on a waiting list, including drives.
