Hunting ground Bonětice

Hunting area Bonětice is located near Bor u Tachov in the Pilsen region. This is a forest hunting area with a relatively large proportion of water bodies.

Hunting area Bonětice is a large forest with a surface area of over 800 hectares, which is surrounded on all sides by fields and meadows. However, there are other forest complexes which alternate with each other. Each such a forest is larger than 1,000 hectares.

This variety of the landscape has a very favorable effect on the occurrence of ungulates that are hunted here. Japanese sika deer, mouflon, wild boar, roe deer are hunted, and occasionally a red deer or a European fallow deer passes by.

Thanks to about 10 bodies of water with a size of 38 hectares, this forest hunting area is a very suitable habitat for wild ducks, which hunters appreciate.

The hunting area of Bonětice is mostly made up of pine forests. In many places, new clearings and more mature spruce thickets have been planted. In the parts of the hunting grounds with ponds, there are more deciduous trees.

Deciduous trees also represent planted clearings and mature sections that have been artificially created. These beech sections are across the entire hunting area.

Almost along the entire length of the boundaries of the hunting area, there are small meadows or fields where you can hunt. However, these are not complete open areas, but rather outcrops.

An essential element of the Bonětice hunting area is the Long Pond (Bonětický rybník) with a size of 30 hectares, which divides the hunting area into the Northern and Southern parts.

The terrain is quite hilly. The forests are mature and sparse, which makes it possible to hunt effectively by drifting. A large population of Japanese sika deer resides in the hunting center.
