Pheasant hunt in Czechia is a traditional hunting event for larger hunting groups of 6 to 18 hunters, with a target of 300 to 1,500 pheasants caught per day. The hunt is conducted in the traditional hunting style.
The Hluboká nad Vltavou pheasantry dates back to the Schwarzenberger estate. This history breathes in every corner of the vast pheasantry area (historical buildings, mature tree lines, alleys, light pasture forests, a chateau, ponds and more).
The hunt is divided into two parts. The morning part includes the opening, ceremonial start, 3-4 hunting areas and ends with lunch.
9.00 am – meeting, control of documents
9.30 am – celebration start of hunting with hunting trumpeter
9.30 – 12.00 am – hunting (3 – 4 huntings)
12.00 am – lunch
After lunch, the afternoon part begins, which again includes 3-4 huntings, a ceremonial end to the hunt, and the last hunting part in the hunting lodge, which can, however, last until the night.
1.00 – 4.00 pm – 3 – 4 huntings parts
4.00 pm – celebration ending of hunt with hunting trumpeters
4.30 pm – dinner
5.00 pm and more – after party with banquet
The hunt of pheasants is arranged that the hunters are positioned at each hunting position. The hunting helpers scare the pheasants and partridges from the cover so that the hunters have the best possible experience for hunting the high-flying pheasants.
The huntings parts are varied with mature tree rows alternating with meadows. Other hunting grounds take place in the forest part of the pheasant patch or in the reedbeds. Hunting is carried out on 350 hectares.
The hunt of pheasants is one-day, but a two-day hunt can also take place, including accommodation in the pheasant house area, which provides hunters with very good facilities with a common room and several rooms for sleeping without having to leave the area.

The hunt comes under the outfitter´s business conditions and his/her instructions. In case these conditions and the outfitter´s instructions are broken, the hunt may be discontinued prematurely with no refund or with penalties to be reimbursed (illegal hunting to which the hunter is not entitled at all etc.) the hunt is subject to the Czech legislation.
