Hunting marmots is a package that includes 1 marmot with accommodation in a guesthouse and breakfast for 2 nights. The hunting package is for the weekend with a Czech guide who will accompany you. Suitable for individuals and small groups of up to 5 hunters.
The hunting takes place 10 km from Austria’s highest mountain, Grossglockner, which stands at an impressive 3,798 m above sea level. The hunting ground is directly above the village of Kals, and the hunt occurs at an altitude of around 2,000 m above sea level. This area is located in southern Austria at the border of Tyrol and Carinthia.
This hunt is suitable for hunters who can walk for more than an hour along the contours and climb in the mountains for marmots. The hunting distance is up to 100 meters using small-caliber rifles such as .243 Win., 5.6×57, 5.6×50 Mag., .223 Rem., .222 Rem., etc. It is advisable to use full metal jacket bullets for the preparation of the marmot.
A taxidermist can be arranged; otherwise, hunters must bring a cooling box for transporting the marmot to a Czech taxidermist.
Hunting Schedule:
Friday- arrival in the afternoon
Saturday- breakfast, hunting from the morning all day
Sunday- breakfast, possibly morning hunt, departure
The success rate for hunting marmots during the hunting day is usually 90 – 100%.

The course of the hunt is governed by the provider’s terms and conditions and their instructions. Failure to comply with the provider’s instructions may result in early termination of the hunt without a refund or payment of penalties (illegal hunting of game for which the hunter is not authorized, etc.).
