The hunting of the black grouse in Austria takes place in the hunting area of Obergur, which is South Tyrol in the Austrian part about 15 km from the Italian border. Its hunting occurs at an altitude of around 1,800 m above sea level and higher.
Hunting is done very early in the morning at dawn, when the black grouse is calling, providing a chance to hunt it.
Accommodation is provided in a hunting lodge directly at the hunting site, which is simply furnished but otherwise very cozy and offers a good refuge for hunters.
The hunting trip is planned as a package at a fixed price for 3 nights and 2 hunting days. Your hunting guide takes care of you throughout your stay. All services, meals, and documents are included in the hunting package.
The hunting area of Obergur is also a ski center Sölden, where the ski season starts in September and ends in May, so it is possible to plan the hunting trip with a sports program as well.
